Area activity
Area activity (the polygon icon, Activity in area) lets you watch the vessels inside specific areas — handy for keeping an eye on a port, anchorage, or approach.
This tool requires the area-activity permission. If you don't see the polygon button in the toolbar, ask your administrator.
Watch an area
Open the Activity in area panel. It lists the areas set up for activity tracking. Click an area's header to make it active and see the vessels currently in that area. Click a vessel to open it on the map with its pop-up.
If no areas are set up, the panel says no areas could be found; if an active area has no ships, it says no ships could be found for that area.
Areas and refresh
Each activity area has a name and a refresh interval that controls how often its ship list updates. The set of activity areas (and their intervals) is configured by an administrator, so it's shared across your organisation rather than personal like My areas.
